A Prayer for the Philippines

Lord of the utmost High, Your loving heart is what makes us one nation.
In these trying times of the typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng aftermath,
we lift to you our nation.
Help all those who are still in dire need of rescuing;
Strengthen the volunteers in the rescue and relief operations;
Heal those who are sick, grieving, and weak;
Envelope with your kindness those who are confused and lonely;
Inspire those who are able to contribute what they have;
Clear our hearts to set aside differences and conflicts.

May the Holy Spirit come upon us all to enlighten us
and see Your wisdom in all these and understand Your purpose.
Thank you for letting the sun shine on us this morning,
For the outpouring of love by the people are still able to do so
And for the gift of family, friends, and public service.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

World Animals Day @ MOA

I attended the World Animals Day at MOA today Oct.10. Animal Welfare groups such as PAWS, PETA and WWF booths are there and a free concert. Free Photo Booth and face painting for kids. Animal lovers brought their dogs. I kind of got frustrated that I was not able to bring my dear Bachie at the event. She would be very happy to see all these animal friends. I had a very great time taking picture and patting these sweet dogs. I also gave my support to PAWS. Location: Music Hall, MOA

Polyvore: A tool for Kikays and Fashionista

I've been watching America's Top Model and Philippine Fashion TV since before. I am also a fan of the show "How Do I look?" and it always fascinates me how fashionistas are able to conceptualize the looks of these models. I even wished once to be included in their make-over. ^_^

Anyways, have you ever felt that you're stylista ideas are bursting and you would like to draw them on paper? I do. Sometimes I feel like creating a whole ensemble of clothes and dresses. As I child I used to play Paper Dolls where I also draw their dresses and styled them.

Now I found the perfect website for this. Polyvore.com is a free, easy-to-use web-based application for mixing and matching images from anywhere on the web. It is also a vibrant community of creative and stylish people.

Polyvore lets you create sets composed of individual images using an easy to use, drag and drop editor. After you have created a set, you can publish and share it with your friends and the Polyvore community.

It is often described as "highly addictive" by those who fall in love with its collaging functionality and spend hours creating sets to share with others.

Polyvore offers an unprecedented level of direct engagement with real products and brands, while its social features make it a powerful platform for the creation and distribution of user-generated advertising.

What dyou think of the first inspiration board I designed using POLYVORE.COM?

I also plan to use this website to design the inspiration boards for the products at my shoppe. So please visit my ONLINE SHOPPE for more exciting things to come.

The Life Changing Experience that Ondoy Taught Me

I've finally got some new and exciting adventures tonight... it made alot of changes in me and realized that there are so much more important things in life than money and material things...

... met some new friends who share the same sentiments that I have.... I don't need to stay in front of the tube and just stare at the miserable conditions of my fellow Pinoy... I can help.

I was looking for action.... went to Red Cross QC and Pasig chapter... kala ko re-packing lang.... was shocked to learn that we are getting deployed to flooded areas to distribute relief goods... stand for 4 hours... rode an army truck... stand in bayanihan lines... and helped transfer pack goods. In short... I am definitely getting the work-out I badly needed.....^_^

Typhoon Ondoy taught me to care for the status of my country. He taught me to get into action if I want changes. I have so many friends who were devastated by the Typhoon Ondoy and the best thing I can do... is help and volunteer!

Next week.... I am off to Habitat for Humanity.... Care to join?

My Two Lab

I am sooo down this week because I keep seeing alot of things to be sad about in the aftermath of Typhoon Ondoy.

In times like these I usually divert my attention to my loveones. They keep me sane and grounded. Sharing with you a video of the two most important babies in my life. Ang dalawang mahal ko sa buhay... My Labs *winks* at si Bachie, my LABrador... I love them both sooo much!

This video was taken during one of our usual Sunday afternoon exercise. Hon and I usually take Bachie to a stroll to the next village. Then we just run around. Afterwards, sobrang pagod na si Bachie she would be the one to initiate going home. Pagdating sa bahay... di na kame papansinin... pinagod daw namen... hahaha

Volunteer and Donate

Devoted my after-work hours tonight on a very worthy cause. 4 hours of helping and packing relief goods for the Typhoon Ondoy victims. There are so many people in the RFM Gym in Pioneer. Teens, office workers, kids and foreigners are all there for a common goal.
